Late nights at the library...and the "number one important thing" is that you are comfy...(followed by a close "number two important thing" of having some sugar / caffeine around!)
:( That isn't good planning on the University's part...they should have something open during exam time...they would make $$$! (Or rather, Pounds, and Pounds!)
Are you sure no one would steal your books / notes if you left them there?
They're not my real books...they're library books that have nothing to do with my courses, and a bunch of scrap paper. The library has also decided not to re-shelve books during finals. Very convenient. Well, for me, but not for someone who might actually be looking for them!
Kleio, daughter of Zeus, is the Muse of History in Greek mythology, and I am a historian in the making.
What to expect to read here
Nothing profound - this is just a way for me to let my family and friends at home, or at least those who are interested, know what's going on in my daily life while I'm at grad school.

Caff: Comfy, definitely. Plus, my friends and I have dug in for the week in a protected area - we keep books and papers in place so nobody takes them over when we go home to sleep - so you feel a sense of comfort and consistency when you are studying in the same spot everyday. As for the caffeine and sugar - I have had more chocolate this past week than I have had all year. It's amazing how much you crave sugar when you study. Unfortunately, while the library is open 24/7 during exams neither the common room store nor the pub on campus stays open late. so after 10pm (or a bit later with the pub) there's nowhere in the area to get a decent cup of coffee. Of course, other than the Nescafé vending machine on the third floor. 35p for sludge in a cup. You get used to it.

Good times...at least the library is looking out for you guys in some way, since they don't provide a 24 hour cafeteria..

Tesco's down the street is open 24/7 though. But unlike "Sleven" in the States (7-Eleven) they don't have a coffee machine!
